Home care fund for Thabo in East London
Thabo, 95, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 95. After a fall and hip fracture Thabo can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Thabo desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Thabo worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $95
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,325
