I'm caring for me, who's 76. After the death of her spouse Sevgi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Sevgi desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Sevgi worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,600 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $190 • Part-time carer (six months): $1,300 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $110 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
