I'm caring for me, who's 77. After the death of her spouse Regina can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Regina desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Regina worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,550 goes: • Part-time carer (four months): $1,250 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $235 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
