Home care fund for Rafiq in Dhaka
Rafiq, 93, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $450 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 93. After a diagnosis of dementia Rafiq can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rafiq desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Rafiq worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $450 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Part-time carer (four months): $320
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
