Home care fund for Nneka in Lagos
Nneka can't afford the care She needs after a fall and hip fracture; we're asking for $700.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 86. After a fall and hip fracture Nneka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Nneka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Nneka worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $700 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $480
• Medication and prescriptions: $105
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $85
Thanks for being kind about this.

wishing Nneka a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 18 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Rooting for you, Adaeze. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings.
Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Kasarani.
