Home care fund for Meltem in Istanbul
Meltem can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $1,750.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 83. After worsening Parkinson's disease Meltem can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Meltem desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Meltem worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $1,400
• Medication and prescriptions: $160
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $110
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Istanbul.
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about part-time carer (four months), advice is welcome too. Appreciate you taking the time.
stay strong. Hope this works out for you
So sorry you're going through this. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Mardan this morning.
