Home care fund for Marta in Birmingham
Marta, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After worsening Parkinson's disease Marta can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Marta desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Marta worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $590
• Part-time carer (three months): $2,000
• Medication and prescriptions: $310
Thanks for being kind about this.
