I'm caring for my father, who's 88. After a stroke last April Luke can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Luke desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Luke worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $2,950 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $580 • Part-time carer (three months): $2,000 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $370 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
