Home care fund for Lorena in Monterrey
Lorena, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,800 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After a heart attack Lorena can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lorena desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Lorena worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,450
• Medication and prescriptions: $115
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $130
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $105
