Help Manfred restart a bicycle repair shop in Mannheim after floodwater

A bicycle repair shop in Mannheim needs help replacing a full set of tools after floodwater.

Mannheim
For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Mannheim. In June, floodwater took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,150 goes: • Replacing a full set of tools: $980 • Initial stock: spare parts: $540 • Shop repairs and licensing: $380 • Working capital for the first month: $250 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Manfred

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 55% funded and I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,065 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 27% funded and I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. - Manfred

rooting for you, Manfred. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Surat so I could bring a meal.
