Home care fund for Hellen in Kisumu
Hellen can't afford the care She needs after a stroke last July; we're asking for $250.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 83. After a stroke last July Hellen can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Hellen desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Hellen worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $250 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $120
• Medication and prescriptions: $85
Thanks for reading all this.

You're not alone, Ruth. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from São Paulo.
