Home care fund for Gauri in Mumbai
Help Gauri stay in her own home with three months of part-time care.
🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India704 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 87. After worsening Parkinson's disease Gauri can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Gauri desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Gauri worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $700 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $480
• Medication and prescriptions: $85
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
Thank you for reading my story.

Thinking of you and your family. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings!
Sending love. Hope you get there. I hope March is when things finally get easier. Blessings
wishing you peace, Manasi. Hope this works out for you. After 25 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
take care, Manasi. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
You're not alone, Manasi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Mumbai.
