Home care fund for Declan in London
Declan, 86, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,050 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After worsening Parkinson's disease Declan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Declan desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Declan worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,050 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $4,200
• Medication and prescriptions: $370
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $175
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $305
