I'm caring for my father, who's 89. After a heart attack Clinton can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Clinton desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Clinton worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $940
• Medication and prescriptions: $210
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $105
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $145

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Clinton.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. part-time carer (three months) comes first ($940) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
