Home care fund for Amaka in Onitsha
Amaka, 96, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $150 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 96. After a fall and hip fracture Amaka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Amaka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Amaka worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $150 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $45
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing Amaka a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Bristol
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Sending good thoughts, Amaka. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
