Home care fund for Ali in Toronto
Ali, 87, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,800 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 87. After a heart attack Ali can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ali desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ali worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $2,100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $300
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $400
