Home care fund for Alejandra in Barcelona
Alejandra, 81, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 81. After a diagnosis of dementia Alejandra can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Alejandra desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Alejandra worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $650 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $220
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $270
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $160
