Help Zubby through 10 rounds of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Zubby is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Zubby was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at Abuja University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Zubby is 44, worked as a bus conductor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Abuja University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,650 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Scans and lab work: $160 • Transport to Abuja University Hospital: $115 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85 • Household costs while unable to work: $240 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
