Help Ximena keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Ximena runs a volunteer pantry feeding 164 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 164 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Anaheim market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,550
• Refrigeration and electricity: $250
• Baby formula and diapers: $450
Thank you so much.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ximena
It's all in the list in the story. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the big one at $1,550, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. Love from Kasarani
hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Nagpur but we're thinking of you.
Praying for you, Ximena. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Anaheim
