Help Waweru through 4 rounds of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Waweru is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Waweru was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at Dar es Salaam Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Waweru is 29, worked as a taxi driver until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dar es Salaam Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $790
• Scans and lab work: $130
• Transport to Dar es Salaam Regional Medical Center: $105
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $255
