Help Vincenzo keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Catania.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 214 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 45% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Catania market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $880
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,330
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Wish I lived closer to Mumbai so I could bring a meal. God bless
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Vincenzo.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. refrigeration and electricity comes first ($290) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
thinking of you, Vincenzo. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. All the best.
shared it with a few friends. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope this works out for you. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Catania.
Praying for you, Vincenzo. More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Catania
