Help Susanne with an overdue electricity and water bill before summer

A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Susanne needs $750 before November.

The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Susanne received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $750 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in September. Susanne called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $85 first, which isn't available. The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. Susanne is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Susanne's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $750 goes: • Heating arrears: $350 • Reconnection and late fees: $135 • Down payment on a payment plan: $265 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Johanna

  1. Small update. $528 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($170 in total) I made the first payment toward reconnection and late fees. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. 11% there. we've started the first stage. Thank you. - Johanna
