For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 206 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $500 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $125 • Safety equipment and signage: $210 • Permits and inspections: $165 Thank you so much.
