Help Sultana move out of an unsafe apartment this Saturday
Moving day on Saturday: we need 3-4 helpers and ideally a van.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Savar, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.

Wishing you the best, Sultana. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless!
Wishing you the best, Sultana. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
hope things get better soon. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'll check back for the next update.
Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Tallahassee.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Nakuru.
