8 rounds of treatment are planned at Melbourne Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Scarlett was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at Melbourne Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Scarlett is 28, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Melbourne Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $5,700 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $400 • Transport to Melbourne Cancer Centre: $360 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,150 • Household costs while unable to work: $790 Thank you so much.
