Chiang Mai
Sasithorn is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Chiang Mai State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,050. The registrar has said Sasithorn can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sasithorn has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sasithorn would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Sasithorn isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,050 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $75 • Final term tuition: $320 • Outstanding tuition balance: $655 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
