Start-up fund for Marites: reopening a laundry service after floodwater
Marites has run a laundry service for six years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $250 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a laundry service in Quezon City. In August, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $250 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $70
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $95
• Working capital for the first month: $85
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

49% there. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($86 in total) the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
