Sapna was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in January. The oncology team at the Nagpur Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Sapna is 32, worked as a shop owner until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Nagpur Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $200
• Transport to the Nagpur Oncology Institute: $200
