A first-generation student, Mehwish needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an agriculture degree.

Mehwish is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Lahore State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has said Mehwish can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Mehwish has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Mehwish would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Mehwish isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $500 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $280
• Final term tuition: $160
• Exam and lab fees: $10
• Textbooks and materials: $50
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

any update on how things are going in Lahore?
hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
thanks for sharing this, Zain. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Riverside.
