Help Santhosh get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
Santhosh served twelve years in the infantry; $650 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.
🇮🇳 Karnataka, India713 views
Janani served twelve years in the infantry and was discharged in 2024 with a traumatic brain injury. She has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $650.
Janani is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $650 goes:
• Training provider fees: $290
• Housing deposit and first month: $190
• Transport to appointments: $80
• Essential household items: $90
