Ronnie is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at the San Antonio Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $7,050. The registrar has said Ronnie can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ronnie has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ronnie would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Ronnie isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $7,050 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $3,050 • Final term tuition: $3,400 • Exam and lab fees: $330 • Textbooks and materials: $270 If you're reading this, thank you.

Take care, Romeo. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of San Antonio.
