Cox's Bazar
Rashed was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at Cox's Bazar Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Rashed is 31, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Cox's Bazar Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $750 goes: • Transport to Cox's Bazar Cancer Centre: $110 • Scans and lab work: $210 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $430 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Nusrat

  • Hope it all works out, Nusrat. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Södertälje.
