In July an inspector told me that my home has faulty wiring that trips the power and smells of burning. It's a safety risk for me and my elderly mother. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $700 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed electrician who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $95. The job should take about six hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're an electrician and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for reading my story.

    • Thinking of you and your family, Rafael. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of San Diego.

      • shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. Blessings

Rooting for you, Rafael. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
