Aurangabad
For four years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Aurangabad. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $500 goes: • Replacing a commercial oven: $290 • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $105 • Shop repairs and licensing: $55 • Working capital for the first month: $50 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Best of luck, Mim. Small businesses are the heart of Aurangabad. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor in Quezon City donated after I showed her your page. God bless.

    • Rooting for you, Mim. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care

      • Take care, Mim. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.

        • Hope you make a strong comeback. Put this on a community board in Adama this morning.

                          • Thinking of you, Mim. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 12 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
