Poppy is my German shepherd of six years. On 20 April we rushed to Mandeville Veterinary Centre with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,050. They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond July. Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy got me through my hardest year. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Mandeville Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals. Where the $1,050 goes: • Emergency surgery: $650 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $180 • Medication and follow-up visits: $120 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $100 Thanks for reading all this.

Sending good thoughts, Michael. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Caxias do Sul this morning. Greetings from Caxias do Sul.

      • wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
