Help me pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Cape Town Orthopedic Institute
A scheduled laparoscopic cyst removal in September is out of reach without help covering $1,650 of the cost.

In June I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Cape Town Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $3,300, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,650 short.
Doctors at Cape Town Orthopedic Institute told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $3,300 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $900. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
