I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at the Epe Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Epe Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $500 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Final term tuition: $450
• Textbooks and materials: $25
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Keep going. This could happen to any of us. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Saint Petersburg so I could bring a meal.
