Mariana was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in June. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,900, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,450 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since June. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mariana struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Mariana won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
