Help Luana through 12 rounds of treatment for thyroid cancer
Luana is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Luana was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at the São Paulo Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Luana is 43, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the São Paulo Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,800
• Scans and lab work: $440
• Transport to the São Paulo Oncology Institute: $185
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240
