Leo was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at London University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Leo is 33, worked as a primary school teacher until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to London University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $11,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000 • Scans and lab work: $1,350 • Transport to London University Hospital: $740 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $810 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,900 Glad we found this place.
