Help Lakshmi move out of an unsafe apartment this Friday
Lakshmi has found a safe new apartment in Dehiwala and needs help moving heavy furniture on Friday.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Dehiwala, and the lease starts on Friday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you the best, Lakshmi. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
