Help Laiba through 4 rounds of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Laiba is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Laiba was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at Multan Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Laiba is 29, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Multan Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $165 • Scans and lab work: $125 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,060 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

      • So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Parramatta this morning. Thinking of Multan.

          • Rooting for you, Farhan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
