Help Kazuo move out of an unsafe apartment this Monday
Moving day on Monday: we need a few strong people and ideally a van.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Shinjuku, and the lease starts on Monday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Take care, Kazuo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
So sorry you're going through this, Kazuo. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Addis Ababa donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
Take care, Kazuo. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My neighbor in Kobe donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Shinjuku!
looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
