Help Kavitha through 8 rounds of treatment for cervical cancer
8 rounds of treatment are planned at Pune University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇮🇳 India470 views
Kavitha was diagnosed with cervical cancer in February. The oncology team at Pune University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Kavitha is 29, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pune University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $640
• Scans and lab work: $135
• Transport to Pune University Hospital: $160
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
• Household costs while unable to work: $290
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kavitha.
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $640 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
thinking of you. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
