Help Kariuki move out of an unsafe apartment this Saturday
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Kakamega.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Kakamega, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Thank you for reading my story.

best of luck, Kariuki. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
wishing you the best, Kariuki. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
