Help Karim through 6 rounds of treatment for cervical cancer
Karim is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Karim was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at Toronto Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Karim is 58, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Toronto Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750
• Scans and lab work: $920
• Transport to Toronto Cancer Centre: $700
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $910
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,220
