Joshua is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Quezon City University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has said Joshua can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Joshua has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Joshua would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Joshua isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $850 goes:
• Final term tuition: $510
• Exam and lab fees: $55
• Outstanding tuition balance: $285
Thanks for being kind about this.
