Help Josefa restart a laundry service in Alicante after floodwater
Josefa has run a laundry service for three years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $1,500 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a laundry service in Alicante. In April, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $780
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $340
• Shop repairs and licensing: $195
• Working capital for the first month: $185
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

thanks for sharing this. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Mbarara this morning.
You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Alicante.
So sorry you're going through this, Josefa. Hope this works out for you. It's not much but it's yours
