Help Jamal pay for ACL reconstruction at Saint Luke Hospital
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Jamal was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Jamal was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in March. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $950 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since March. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jamal struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Jamal won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
