Iván is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Iván was diagnosed with cervical cancer in March. The oncology team at the Celaya Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Iván is 58, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Celaya Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,950 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $450 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $250 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Teresa
